How To – Create a List Item in SharePoint

To create a new list item:

  1. Navigate to the List you would like to create a new list item in and click New List Item for the New dropdown list:
  2. The actual detail of the New Item page will depend on the type of list item – for example the New Item page for an Administrator Task is shown below. Since lists can support multiple content types the New menu may offer several options to add list items of different content types.
  3. Click OK are you are done!
