How To – Recover / Restore a Deleted File or List Item in SharePoint

Thanks to the Recycle Bin, recovering a file in SharePoint is a simple process. All deleted files and list items are kept in the Recycle Bin for 30 days (after which time they are all moved to the administrator Recycle Bin and can still be recovered by an admin).  To recover a deleted file is a very simple process:

  1. Open the Recycle Bin by clicking Recycle Bin in the left navigation bar:
  2. In the Recycle Bin, select the item or items and then click Restore Selection:
